Christine Balagué is the social networks chair at the Mines-Telecom Institute and vice president of CNNum (France's National Statistics Board). She is also president of commissioning services at Cap Digital.

With a degree from the Essec business school and a doctorate in management, she is the founder of Renaissance Numérique, a citizen online think tank comprised of academics and professionals. She became president there in February.

In addition to her scientific publications on research (social networks and marketing, modelling behaviour, viral marketing and e-mail marketing), she has published several works on the economic impact of the web, including "Facebook, Twitter and the others, integrating social networks in a business strategy" and "the success of the French web" (both Pearson, 2012).
